Exodus 5 – Asking God “Why?”

Pastor Dennis Allan continues our series on Exodus by focusing on the story of Moses confronting Pharaoh for the first time in Exodus 5 and demanding that Pharaoh immediately set free all of the Israelite people enslaved in Egypt, only to have Pharaoh reject Moses’ appeal and undermine Moses’ credibility with the Israelite people. At the end of the chapter Moses is frustrated, confused, and in pain. And it’s from this place that Moses cries out to God, “Why? Why is this happening?” We can cry out to God, too. And, just as He did with Moses, He’ll meet us, He’ll build relationship with us, and He’ll speak with us.
